My first glimpse of a waterfall was a striking Black & White 6" x 20" photo of Yosemite Falls. My Grandfather had it nicely framed and prominently displayed in his home.

I love discovering waterfalls, gorges, parks and all the other attractions in this great state of New York. I have thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and tranquil life in the Finger Lakes ever since moving to Ithaca in 1972.

I graduated from Hannibal (NY) High School, and received an A.A.S. from Jefferson Community College, and completed additional course work at Oswego State, and TC-3 in Dryden. Since 1979, I have worked in the areas of commercial, wedding, portrait and illustrative photography.

I am an active member in my community, past president of both the Ithaca Lions and Ithaca Sunrise Rotary Clubs, and a member of the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce.

I have been a professional photographer for over 3 decades and I've been recording waterfall experiences in between my wedding and portrait studio work. My portrait, wedding and scenic art photo business has continued to grow with the help of loyal clients: Cornell University, Ithaca College, Toyota, People and Time magazines, Exxon Mobil, local banks and many friends and acquaintances in the Finger Lakes area.

In 2004, I first published the Finger Lakes Waterfall Calendar. On this ninth anniversary Calendar, I have something new and unique to offer thanks to you and the many others who have suggested improvements.

I wish to acknowledge Barney and Peter Schug of Cayuga Press in Cortland, NY for the initial idea, and their entire team at Cayuga Press for the accurate printing. I also thank Doreen Warholic and Bob Eckerd of Graphics Plus printing for the design. Also I want to thank Michael Erb at CNY Web Works for the beautiful Waterfall Calendar website design.

Photographic Prints, greeting cards and room décor of waterfalls and scenery may be found on my website: www.deweyneild.com at SESSIONS/FINE ART. You may also call 607-257-0688 or email: dewey@deweyneild.com

Thank You,
